The background for this project is to generate interest in the development of an MMS-implementation within the OpenSource environment.

The implementation will take place in accordance with the recognised specifications of the 3GPP global initiative, WAP-Forum and Open Mobile Aliance.

The project idea was instigated, and later presented to our group, by Tore Storødegård, founder of the computing company Mobinor/Mobic, in Asker, Norway. The projects leadership team is comprised of Mobinor’s Tore Storødegård and the leader for "GroupAlfa".

The main vision for the project is to be able to offer a free application for the transferring of MMS-messages.
